Q:  What meals will you have available?
A:  Due to Pennsylvania law for Bed and Breakfast establishments we only serve breakfast (complimentary) to overnight guests.  There are many restaurants (upscale to casual) in the area that we can recommend for lunch and dinner.  We can even make reservations for you and may have some discounts.

Q:  Do you serve breakfast in the guest rooms?
A:  No. Breakfast is served in the Dining Room or (if requested) the Casual Kitchen area.  We may make exceptions for special circumstances if discussed in advance.  There is normally an additional charge for this service.

Q:  How old must I be to make a reservation?
A:  18 years or older.  You will also need a valid photo ID and a credit card to hold the room.  Each room must have at least one guest who is 18 years or older stay in the room.

Q: What is your reservation policy?
A: To guarantee your reservation, a deposit of 50 percent is required for a stay of two or more nights. A 100 percent deposit is required for one-night stays.  The balance is due at check-in and can be in the form of major credit/debit cards, cash, or traveler check.  We do not accept personal checks.

Q:  What types of payment will you accept?
A:  Payment is expected at the time of check-in and can be in the form of major credit/debit cards or cash.  We do not accept personal checks.

Q:  I will not arrive until very late. Can you accommodate a late check-in?
A:  Yes, if prearranged and approved;  however, we ask that you simply coordinate your breakfast selections in advance so we can be sure to have everything you request. We also ask that you keep us informed during your travels if your arrival time changes.

Q:  Can I arrive earlier than the normal check-in time, are you able to accommodate?
A:  Sometimes but it depends on the guest schedule the night before and if guests checkout on time.  For possibility of early check-in, it is best to contact us early during the day of arrival to find out if the room is available.   Bottom line, you are always more than welcome to check-in early, leave your luggage and go explore the area.   We can move your luggage to the room when it is available.

Q:  What if I have to cancel my reservation?
A:  Should you need to cancel or change reservation for any reason, we require at least seven days advance notification by telephone 215 679- 5764.  With at least seven days notice, we will refund your deposit, less a service charge of 10 percent of your total reservation.  Cancellations made six days or less will be charged for the full amount of the reserved stay unless we are able to rebook the room.  If we are able to rebook the room, we will refund the rebooked portion, less the 10 percent service charge.  We are a small Bed and Breakfast and cancellations affect us dramatically.  If you have any concerns about possibly having to cancel we recommend inexpensive trip cancellation insurance.

Q:  Do your rooms have private or shared bathrooms?
A:  All bedrooms have their own PRIVATE (en-suite) bathrooms.

Q:  Can I bring my children?
A:  Children are welcome to accompany their parent or legal guardian over 18 years of age.  Children must always be supervised/cared for by their parent or legal guardian.  We do not offer babysitting services.

Q:  Do any of your rooms have a whirlpool/jet bathtub and/or fireplace?
A:  No. The St Anne bedroom has a bathtub which is a standard tub. The other guest bedroom (St Michael) has a walk-in shower.  All the fireplaces for guests viewing are downstairs in the family lounge area or at the outdoor fire pit.  The fireplace operation will be performed only by the owners.

Q:  Do you allow smoking or candles in the Bed and Breakfast?
A:  For the safety of all guests, there is no smoking (cigarette, cigar, electronic cigarette, vapor, etc) indoors.  We will be glad to show you the outdoor designated smoking area.  Open flames  (such as candles, lighters, incense, etc) are prohibited in guests bedrooms.   Owners are responsible for managing any scented candles or operation of the fireplace.

Q:  I have a small dog that is the cutest in the world, doesn’t shed or bark at all. Can it be in the Bed and Breakfast with me?
A:  No. We do not allow pets of any kind in the Bed and Breakfast.  The owners do have a dog and a cat who are not very good at welcoming other four footed friends.  Valid and certified service animals are respected by our pets because they are in uniform.

Q:  Do the owners/innkeepers live on-site?
A:  Yes we live on-site at the B&B.

Q:  Do you rent your rooms by the hour?
A:  No.  Rooms are only rented on a nightly basis.  Full payment is due at the time of check-in.  If you want to check-in at 4:00 PM and check-out by 5:00 PM, that is your decision; however, you will have paid for the entire night.  And remember, illegal activity is not tolerated and the police may be contacted if any illegal activity is suspected.

Q:  Do you offer discounts for renting both bedrooms?
A:  Typically the answer is no; however, it really depends on the requested nights and our expected occupancy.

Q:  What floors are the bedrooms on?
A:  The guest rooms are on the 2nd floor accessible by steps or elevator.  If you have mobility challenges, please inform us at the time of reservation to discuss specific needs.

Q:  What is the height of your beds?
A:  Our beds are standard height so you should be able to get into the bed comfortably.  If you have mobility challenges, please inform us at the time of reservation to discuss specific needs.

Q:  Can I bring my own alcohol?
A:  Yes. By current Pennsylvania law, we are prohibited from supplying you any alcohol.  However, we do have a variety of cocktail, champagne, wine glasses and corkscrews available for your convenience.  There is also a liquor store within 3 miles and a few beer distributors to include a grocery store.   Guests accept  all liability and responsibilities if consuming alcohol at the Double Eagle BnB.

Q:  Do you offer any packages or add-ons (gift baskets, pastries, flowers, etc.)?
A:  Yes. At the time of your reservation you can request special packages.  Just let us know what you would like and we will let you know if it is possible.

Q:  Do you offer any assistance with getting tickets for local attractions?

A:  We provide a community publication (which includes coupons) that offers information on local shops, attractions and restaurants.
